OAD Consulting is a leader in the development of modeling frameworks for various design tools. OAD’s president, Terry Merriman, has been developing metamodels and frameworks for such tools as the Rational Enterprise Suite, Rational System Architect, Mega Modeling Suite, and Enterprise Architect since 1999.
We are happy to announce that the result of this extensive experience has been captured in an Enterprise Architecture Framework, we call EA Profiler, designed specifically for Enterprise Architect (EA), Sparx Systems’ premier UML modeling tool. We chose Enterprise Architect because it represents the state of the art in UML modeling, fully supporting version 2.1. It provides all of the diagram types and modeling elements in a repository based tool that doesn’t forget that it’s a drawing tool as well. EA’s implementation of the UML profiles and patterns makes the tool extensible enough to fit most modeling needs. Based on the OMG’s MOF and XMI open standards, EA can interact with other tools designed to these open standards.
