EA Profiler includes extensive UML profiles for each of the architectural views. This permits modeling each view in the language of the view. For example, instead of simply using classes or nodes, a deployment architect can use servers and mainframes as their modeling elements

Each of the modeling elements are named and defined within the profiles. This permits tailoring the elements to the terminology used within the company. Control is also given over defining the different types of elements to be employed and how they are related.

Patterns included for the views to aid in the development of the models and to make conforming to modeling standards the easiest way to model the systems.

An extensive set of reports have been created for EA Profiler that help to answer some of the more complex questions about your enterprise architecture. These reports not only assist with the development process, but also address more strategic concerns.

The reports generated from the repository are tied into the profiles. This means that the elements included in the reports can be modified by simply changing the UML profile diagrams.
